if it was teenage dream (Opens in a new tab) Yours to remix Katy Perry, you will undoubtedly be ready for it Hadeer (Opens in a new tab) Your appreciation when you learned that Apple is now giving you the opportunity to put your own spin on their 2019 single Harleys in Hawaii (Opens in a new tab) On iPhone and iPad versions of GarageBand.
This is one of two new remix sessions that will be added to the GarageBand Sounds library. The other focuses on K-pop supergroup Seventeen’s song, Darl + ing.
Remixes can be created quickly using GarageBand’s Live Loops interface, which enables you to combine elements of songs with the loops and other parts you want to bring. Everything is kept on pace and key, while Remix FX lets you throw filters, repeaters, and other ear candy into the mix, too.
“Hawaii’s Harleys have lived many different lives, from the original single, right through to my vocal jam, to the acoustic versions of Echo on TikTok,” Katy Perry says. “There are plenty of opportunities to remix this song, and I can’t wait to hear all of GarageBand’s developments through this Apple collaboration.”
Meanwhile, Seventeen’s Woozi says, “We love sharing the music-making experience with our fans. We’ve been using GarageBand for years, so we’re honored to collaborate with Apple on the GarageBand Remix session.”
“Now our fans can compose music the same way we create it. We hope everyone will enjoy remixing our song ‘Darl + ing’ with their own sense of style, and we can’t wait for Carats to share their final remixes with us and the rest of the world when it’s finished.”
It’s worth noting that while these new Remix sessions are available in the iOS and iPadOS versions of GarageBand, they are not currently accessible on a Mac. Previous remix sessions have come from the likes of Billie Eilish, Khaled, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
