Can the Trail Blazers cross the 0.500 this season?

The Portland Trail Blazers have finished below 0.500 in two of the past three seasons after six consecutive seasons of finishing above 0.500.

But with the additions of Jerami Grant, Gary Payton II and rookie Shaydon Sharp along with all returning from injury, there is reason to believe the team could end up with more wins than losses in 2022-23.

The DraftKings sportsbook really puts the Blazers at the 40.5 winning mark for the upcoming season.

Of all the teams included in the Western Conference (the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers were not revealed amid commercial rumours), eight teams were expected to end with more wins than the Blazers. Assuming the Jazz trade Donovan Mitchell, the Blazers would likely fall behind and the Lakers would likely finish before Portland no matter who they get.

This puts the Blazers a heavy blow in the playing area, as it feels the team has lived through the past few seasons.

Here’s hope Vegas is wrong and the Blazers are hammering in more wins this season.
