Dele Schmannkerl: Bayern Munich reject Cristiano Ronaldo…again; Bayern back down from Chelsea’s Timo Werner. Philip Kostek to West Ham? A teammate of Harry Kane talks about Bayern’s interest. FC Barcelona clown by Napoli coach; And more!

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on a team, but maybe without a team if that makes sense.

Reportedly, the Portuguese star still wants to move to Bayern Munich, but, once again, he cannot convince the Bavarian officers to go for the Manchester United striker. It looks like Ronaldo will meet with his current club to chart his future:

Despite the natural links between Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann and long-time official Timo Werner, the Chelsea player does not appear to be on the Bavarians’ radar just yet.

Chelsea have become like a bonfire under the hard-hitting Thomas Tuchel. With so many strikers that could make Bayern Munich blush, Tuchel longs for a striker who looks like the non-existent Robert Lewandowski at the moment. With rumors that the dressing room may be underwhelmed and with a strong need for wins, Tuchel is trying to offload some of his current players. Meanwhile, Tuchel is searching the market for a target man after apparently deciding that none of Romelu Lukaku, Werner, Michy Batshuayi, Armando Bruga and Kai Havertz are exactly what he wants for a central striker:

Werner has been linked with RB Leipzig, along with clubs from Italy and Spain. The question is less of ‘if’ the Germany international will move, but ‘when’.

Bayern Munich has had some big wins in the transfer market in terms of buying and selling. Several important events have taken place this week and we are considering some of them in this podcast.

Here’s what we have for this episode:

  • Thinking about Robert Lewandowski’s transfer and departure
  • Discussing Robert Lewandowski’s legacy at Bayern
  • Will Bayern change his style of play because of Lewandowski’s departure?
  • Where will the goals come from?
  • Lewandowski’s place in world football
  • The arrival of Matthijs de Ligt! What does this mean for Bayern’s defense?
  • Who will be the new commander of the defense?
  • Leon Goretzka is injured! What will Bayern do in this case?
  • Serge Gnabry runs! Does the decision to keep it make sense?
  • Why the German Football Association fined Bayern and Bochum for flare-ups in the stands makes sense
  • A note on Bayern Munich spending this summer
  • Reflections on the possible transfer of Konrad Laimer
  • Small spoiler about Better Call Saul 🙂

Eintracht Frankfurt star Philip Kostik may still be on the move this summer. The talented Serbian attracts interest from West Ham United:

Kostic has been a mainstay for Die Adler over the years and is always one of the most underrated players in the Bundesliga. While this move will certainly be profitable for Kostik, it remains to be seen his turn with the Hammers.

Eric Dier of Tottenham Hotspur reads the papers and sees the links between Bayern Munich and team-mate Harry Kane. For Dier, that’s just part of the work.

“I think every world-class player will always be talked about a lot,” Dyer said after Kane scored a brace in the 2-1 win over Rangers. “In football, you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, let alone next week. It’s not something that bothered me. It’s only natural that world-class players are talked about a lot.”

This is a very thoughtful shot of Dier, especially with the possibility of the media looking for the slightest mistake that can pounce on them and move fate. If there’s one thing we know about Dier, it’s that he knows exactly how to handle a high-pressure situation.

Only a few days left, come on guys we can do it!

Everyone is taking snapshots at FC Barcelona these days, including Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis:

Jimmy Lawrence on loan from Bayern Munich saw his loan spell at Magdeburg started frighteningly as he faced “circulatory problems” against Karlsruhe:

Magdeburg defender Jimmy Lawrence remained on the field after the final whistle due to circulatory problems and had to be treated. KSC fans reacted quickly and blanketed the 19-year-old with big flags. He was carried from the stadium on a stretcher to applause from both camps. The loan from Bayern Munich is now improving again.

Fortunately, the issue appears to have been addressed quickly and Lawrence will be fine.

In this episode of Flagship, Tom and Teddy discuss:

  • Bayern evaluation before the start of the season
  • victory over DC United
  • Loss to Manchester City
  • Players who impressed us during pre-season matches
  • Things we didn’t like from the two games
  • Nagelsmann formation options
  • Predict how productive a Mathys Tel توقيع signature will be
