‘Titanic’ actor David Warner dies at the age of 80

David Warner, known for his roles in “Titanic” and “Omen,” has died at the age of 80.

The BBC reported that Warner died on Sunday of a “cancer-related illness”.

“In the past 18 months, he has approached his diagnosis with remarkable grace and dignity,” his family said in a statement to the newspaper.

“He will be greatly missed by us, his family and friends, and he will be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous, compassionate man, partner and father whose legacy of exceptional work has touched the lives of so many over the years. We are heartbroken.”

Warner was born in Manchester, England. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and later began his career in film, theater and television.

The actor is best known for his roles in the films “Titanic” and “The Omen”.

Warner won the Emmy for Supporting Actor for Masada.

He recently appeared in “Mary Poppins Returns” and “Teen Titans Go!”
