Ugonna Kingsley sets decision date, ranks in 2022: Kentucky Basketball News

Ugonna Kingsley has become a household name across the Big Blue Nation over the past several months, as reports have spread of her rebranding and interest in Kentucky Wildcats.

Well, earlier this month the first part of that equation came true, with Kingsley deciding to reclassify to 2022 and be on campus in a few weeks. Part Two is also heading in the right direction, as cats are heavy favorites who are heading towards commitment in the days ahead.

After becoming the best player in his original 2023 category, the talented big man has now received his updated rankings from 247 sports. In their latest update, Kingsley was named a 4-star potential player and the 39th player in the class. They also include it in the top 10 list.

Judging from an official visit to Lexington last week, it looks like UK fans can expect to see Kingsley in the squad this season. On an official visit to Oklahoma, Kingsley also told On3’s Joe Tipton on Monday night that he will announce his commitment on August 1.

This updated ranking also featured GG Jackson after the reclassification was announced, and the South Carolina State committed over the weekend. Jackson comes in as the number 6 player in the class and ranks directly behind Casson Wallace in the class. Jackson and Jimcox will travel to Robb Arena this season.
