Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are among the best Android phones one can buy right now. However, many users were rightly concerned about the aftermarket development scene in the Pixel 6 family. The Tensor SoC powering the Pixel 6 is Google’s first foray into the smartphone chip industry. As a result, third-party developers needed some time to settle down and understand the platform before creating a custom ROM for the device binary.
Over the past several months, the efforts of Google and the developers in the community have paid off, resulting in an abundance of custom editing options for enthusiasts. If you find yourself wanting a different experience on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, you can now try a number of different custom ROMs from our forums. Keep in mind that you will need to unlock the bootloader before making any changes to the software on your phone.
