Although Dwayne Johnson's DC obsession "Black Adam" won't

Black Adam and Stripe are seemingly heading to MultiVersus

actually hit theaters until this October,

the character could have made his film premiere in 2019's "Shazam!"

had Warner Bros. followed through with its initial plan

In 2014, the "Shazam!" movie script entered production

featuring origin tales for both the lead character and Black Adam.

It made sense for the pair to make their big-screen debuts together

one movie because they have a shared heritage in comic books. Johnson objected.

Vanity Fair quoted Johnson as saying,

"When the first draft of the movie came to us, it was a hybrid of Black Adam and Shazam

Two origin stories in one movie."
